Product properties
Drive drums
The drive drum ensures that the conveyor belt moves. This is done by a motor that works electrically or hydraulically. The friction between the drum and the belt causes the belt to move. How many drive drums are needed and what type of covering they have depends on how the conveyor belt is used.
Constricting drum
The necking drum increases contact and friction between the drive drum and the belt by tightening the arc of the belt. If necessary, we place this drum just after the drive drum, at the bottom of the machine.
Turning drum and tension drum
The reversing drum turns the conveyor belt over, as at the end of the belt. A tension drum does something similar, but also ensures that the belt is taut. Because tightening the belt requires more force, the tensioning drum is often stronger. This drum can be used at the end of the belt to turn it over, but can also be placed at the bottom of the belt to keep the belt tight.
